so then, I guess since they think it's a sin to kill a mockingbird, the author chose the title becuase this book portrays the sinful nature of humanity.
Possibly. Maybe Atticus shot a Mockingbird before and thats why he doesn't like to shoot anymore.
Maybe someone is going to be portrayed as a kind of mockingbird. Nice and generous. I'm not sure, though. What if it's really a mockingbird that gets killed and people show to be more kind somehow?
I think the mocking bird is a reference to the black man Atticus is defending. He hasnt done anything wrong, but he will probably be sentenced to death.
I agree with time avenged and hiphopapotamous. I think that a person or the balck man will be protrayed as an inoccent mocking bird. I understand the title a lot better now and I think it is really creative.
I have to disagree that mockingbirds have a killer instinct. One time I was walking down the road and was brutally attacked by a mockingbird. It was jealous of my lovely singing voice, and ripped out my vocal cord.
okay...the title still isn't revealed dumb nuts. It just say's that its a sin to kill a mockingbird. woo hoo! who cares. so why the heck would that be the title...geeze.
