hey, I have a question that kind of relates to this post. When Dill is crying, Mr. Raymond helps him. This is the man who is an outcast to Maycomb right? The one who lives as an equal to the blacks? why does he predend to be drunk? I understand that he doesn't fit in but if the towns people think he is always drunk it makes them like him veen less. I dont know, Im really confussed by his character.

He pretends to be drunk because it gives him an excuse to like the blacks.
He says it right in the book.

Some people should look through the blog before they post. We were clearly instructed by Mrs.Schreffler to check so that we do not blog the same thing!Oh and by the way I'm not being harsh, I'm just chipper on the subject.

Dill started crying because he was so disappointed that a bunch of grown-ups could be so cruel to someone just because of the color of their skin.
